Say it isn't so...

I am in straight denial. I refuse to face the fact that I am a senior in college. It just sounds way too disgusting. That means that 1- I am old. and 2- The real world is right around the corner. oh and 3- I'm going to be part of the 3% that graduate from BYU without being married. Awesome.  :)

When people ask what year I'm in I slightly cringe as I tell them that I am a senior and graduating soon. I feel as if they judge me. And plus, I truly love BYU. I don't want to leave. I could stay here forever and be just fine! On the other hand, you better believe I am counting down to graduation. I don't want to ever write a paper, take a test, register for classes, buy textbooks, group projects, research papers, or anything of the sort ever ever ever again.

This last year is gonna be a hectic one but I am finally into all of good classes that I enjoy! Too bad they are 400 level classes and make me want to cry just thinking about them! Why can't there be an option just to learn all this stuff but not take tests and not be graded on it?

Life is great though! I love my new apartment and my new roomies! I especially love living with Savanah! We do fun things like go to park city, the drive-in, and Wicked!

Cougar kick-off is in less than 24 hours! I am getting anxious already!! I'm so excited! And for any of you that recall my love for Tyler Haws (scroll down to the bottom) I will have you know that he is in my new ward. It is fate folks. Now if only I can muster up the courage to introduce myself...

Goodbye, Hello, Goodbye

Big things happened today, folks! I said GOODBYE to the Branbury. No more living in "rape-ville" any longer! It is so bitter sweet though. I lived there for 2 years and lived through so much of my college life during that time. Lots of roommates, friends, and challenges. It's weird to think about life before the bran. But believe me it was definitely time to move, change things up and start fresh.

Here are some things I WON'T miss about the bran:

  • my squeaky bed
  • the location of my bedroom (stairwell light, noisy loud door, and the living room)
  • the stupid drawer in my closet that would fall off the track EVERY time I opened it
  • the moldy bathroom (RIP betsy and her children)
  • hitting the pothole at the light on Riverside Ave
  • driving to school
  • my ward.
  • the gross heater vent in the hall that was always so dusty
  • having to pay for and carry my laundry
  • management
  • the overall ghetto-ness of the whole place
  • having nowhere to do homework except my bed
Things I WILL miss:
  • my big bed
  • Apt 312
  • Sharon
  • close drive to work
  • walking to football games

.... obviously the bad was outweighing the good. So, in turn I said HELLO to the Village at South Campus. It is brand new student housing and I'm the first person to occupy my bedroom!

Some things I already love:
  • Washer and dryer in the unit
  • Big flat screen TV and free cable
  • Underground, assigned parking
  • 5 minute walk to campus
  • Savanah being my roommate
  • all of my friends literally surrounding me on every direction within one block
  • Valet garbage take-out (NOW we are talking!)
  • way more social
It is my first night in my new bed (back in a twin) and I never thought this day would come. Although packing and unpacking and cleaning all day wore the crap out of me. I was so busy that the only thing I had to eat today was a large diet coke from Mcdonalds and I didn't even realize it till about 10 pm. And it also left me looking like I was mauled by a bear! I have bruises, scratches and scrapes all over my arms and legs and not to mention a huge blood blister on my hand.. But it is such a relief to have that done! I'm so excited for what the next couple months have in store!

And now I'm saying GOODBYE to you, and my new house as I leave for South Carolina for Sharon's wedding!! So excited! I heart airplanes! and weddings! :) I'm sure I'll have tons of pics to post next time!

P.S. After 28 months, I get to see Christopher on sunday after I get home! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. :)

singing angels

I am officially done with my ward and with my calling as the music committee co-chair.

do you hear that?

a choir of angels is singing HALLELUJAH.

If you can't tell... I'm just a little excited. No more choir practice, no more playing the piano, no more dealing with my oh so boring ward. Which also means I am a week away from moving out! I feel like i'm starting a whole new life and it is kind of awesome! I also am all done with summer school except for my two finals on wednesday and thursday! It will be so so so so so great to start my summer!! Too bad it is only two weeks long but whatever. This weekend was pretty fun except for doing homework and studying for finals, but I got to spend some time with Aubrey who came down and slept over! I got to skype with Christopher! Zach is finally home!! I went and saw Step Up 4 in 3D with my two best friends and it was pretty great!! Here are some pics.

I snuck this one while skyping. Hence the weird angle.
Last day with my only friends in the ward. Minus Jeff. After 2 years I sure will miss these boys!
Step up 3D with my girls! The main guy is HOTTT.

Here's to the next two weeks of finals, work, packing, moving, and South Carolina for the best friend's wedding!!!
