Here are some things I WON'T miss about the bran:
- my squeaky bed
- the location of my bedroom (stairwell light, noisy loud door, and the living room)
- the stupid drawer in my closet that would fall off the track EVERY time I opened it
- the moldy bathroom (RIP betsy and her children)
- hitting the pothole at the light on Riverside Ave
- driving to school
- my ward.
- the gross heater vent in the hall that was always so dusty
- having to pay for and carry my laundry
- management
- the overall ghetto-ness of the whole place
- having nowhere to do homework except my bed
Things I WILL miss:
- my big bed
- Apt 312
- Sharon
- close drive to work
- walking to football games
.... obviously the bad was outweighing the good. So, in turn I said HELLO to the Village at South Campus. It is brand new student housing and I'm the first person to occupy my bedroom!
Some things I already love:
- Washer and dryer in the unit
- Big flat screen TV and free cable
- Underground, assigned parking
- 5 minute walk to campus
- Savanah being my roommate
- all of my friends literally surrounding me on every direction within one block
- Valet garbage take-out (NOW we are talking!)
- way more social
It is my first night in my new bed (back in a twin) and I never thought this day would come. Although packing and unpacking and cleaning all day wore the crap out of me. I was so busy that the only thing I had to eat today was a large diet coke from Mcdonalds and I didn't even realize it till about 10 pm. And it also left me looking like I was mauled by a bear! I have bruises, scratches and scrapes all over my arms and legs and not to mention a huge blood blister on my hand.. But it is such a relief to have that done! I'm so excited for what the next couple months have in store!
And now I'm saying GOODBYE to you, and my new house as I leave for South Carolina for Sharon's wedding!! So excited! I heart airplanes! and weddings! :) I'm sure I'll have tons of pics to post next time!
P.S. After 28 months, I get to see Christopher on sunday after I get home! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. :)
