Don't tell me...

it has been another week already. Where is the time going??!

I will love my life in approximately 12 hours. I have done so much this week it is weird to think about. And I really feel like yesterday was sunday.

Unfortunately it is the season of midterms. 3 tests in 20 hours? not ideal. But I just keep telling myself how great this weekend will be.

First of all BYU football game tomorrow! And the brother is coming with me. he's happy.

Then..........

IT'S CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited. I so badly need this spiritual uplift. I need some answers to my prayers and I'm hoping they will come this weekend. And .... I have the amazing privilege to attend sunday afternoon and listen to the Prophet. With none other than my best friend and her boy. 2 of my favorite people to be with. I'm not the 3rd wheel.. I'm the child. hahaha

Also speaking of this girl. She turns old on sunday. Yep. Big ol 21!! I don't know how I feel about it. I feel like i'm gaining a lot of responsibility to keep her out of trouble since she will be a legit adult now. I might have to lock her in her bedroom just to be safe... muahaha LOVE YOU.

Despite how busy and stressed I have been lately. I think this is the happiest I have ever been. I've laughed and smiled more in the past few weeks than I think I ever have before. It's a nice feeling. Maybe it's cause I got 100% on my anatomy quiz today :) or because I'm starting to recognize the people that really care about me... Sure there are things still weighing me down and always in the back of my mind. I haven't had time to fully grieve. But i'm working on it. I think I'm learning how to control those emotions a little better. I found this. And was happy.

I hope you all enjoy conference. I just found out that Elder Holland is only speaking in the Priesthood session... WHAT THE HECK?! how is that even fair? He is my favorite speaker! Well I guess i'm either dressing up like a man and going to watch in on saturday or i will be watching it sunday :)

Fast Forward

My life is moving at the speed of light. I wish it would slow down! Weeks are turning into days! I honestly can't believe it is the weekend again already. I'm so busy that I don't have time to do anything it feels like. Not even breathe. I've been working on getting a good balance of life. Between school and work and church and my calling and homework and everything else, it is hard to do. But i've managed to squeeze in some fun events. Like hiking the Y the other night. In the pitch blackness. And going to the football game! And thats about it! I even had to give up weekly bowling night to do homework this week. sad. this girl has her priorities straight though! And it is starting to kill me.

One funny story for the week though. So for my calling (Music co-chair) I'm in charge of all of the music for sacrament meeting, and the choir. My new favorite word is delegation. :) Anyways, I had to make an announcement during sunday school about choir and musical numbers, etc. Well i went to talk to the sunday school pres. Bryce and asked him if I could take 2 minutes before his lesson for my announcement.

Pause. So our church is in the BYU chemistry building. Our speakers stand up at the big desk/table thing at the front of the room and we are in stadium seating. Our sacrament is blessed where chemicals are mixed ha. So our room has a sink with some nozzles and sprayer things like all chemistry rooms have.

Ok back to the story. So Bryce was kind of being a booger and said I could only have 10 seconds. So JOKINGLY I pulled out the nozzle and squeezed the trigger to ACT like I was going to spray him. Well.. just in case you were wondering, those sinks and nozzles really work. I soaked the kid. His poor white shirt and tie... The even worse part though is that the water wouldn't stop when I let go of the nozzle. I was holding it down in the sink and it was going crazy spraying everywhere. Well you know me... I was dying. I could not stop laughing. Another guy had to go under the sink and move some wires and stuff around.  OOPS. haha learned my lesson.

Well I have to play a musical number in ward conference tomorrow. gag me. and I have a load of homework and a disaster of a bedroom.

I had to write a paper for my mission prep class tonight about a major event in my life that basically I have lots of emotions tied to and that has helped strengthened my testimony. I didn't even have to think. Greg. So my mind has been on that and let's just say sleep probably isn't in my near future. So i'm going to try and get my mind off of things and post pics from my past week of project 365. Enjoy :)

officially an adult.

Today I had to re-register my car. Yes, it was the first time this has taken place. I had to go get my safety and emissions test done at Jiffy Lube. Then type in a whole bunch of numbers online and pay a bunch of money. I don't like adulthood. It stresses me out.

10 years ago? I can't believe it has been that long since 9/11. That makes me feel really old! Can't believe that went by so fast. Wanna know my story of 9/11?

Well I was actually on a houseboat in Lake Powell with no reception and no way of knowing. I remember lots of houseboats were coming out with American flags but we didn't know why. It wasn't till a week later  on our way home that we heard the news.

I remember not knowing the importance of what was happening. I didn't know what the world trade centers even were. I remember that it was still all over the news though when we got home. I remember watching the planes fly into the buildings over and over and over again.

2 weeks of school down. 13 weeks to go. wow. This is one hectic semester. I hardly have time to breathe let alone do anything enjoyable.

missin me some missionaries..

I can't wait for next year when all of my freshman friends that are on missions right now will be back. They are all so great and I miss them so much. Today I remembered this video and couldn't stop laughing. The one singing was my first home teacher. Man these boys were so fun to play with! Thank you Ryan, Ethan, and Alex.

Only Sharon will appreciate this, but I'm also missing my FHE brothers. Mainly Logan and James! So many memories! Racing home from Roller Blading and having MeMe get pulled over, asking and answering to the dance, and of course the dance itself. Even giving poor Logie a goose-egg for church the next day. Ha poor kid. That was the best night ever.

And last but not least. Of course, my zachary and christopher. Both kicking butts on their missions right now, both serving as zone leaders, and most importantly both are on the down hill. I can't wait for them to be back cause they both suck at writing letters. 

Death might find me.

Well the time has come. The semester is fully underway. I like my classes. That's a first. They are hard. That is not a first. But this is probably my hardest semester yet. I take that probably back. It IS the hardest semester yet. Two words.

Human Anatomy.

I have been such a good student so far. i'm so proud of myself haha I have done all of my assigned reading for all my classes. (except chemistry-who am i kidding) haha.

But working isn't being the most fun thing of my life. Get a load of my thursdays:

yes. an 11 straight hour day of garbage.

I wasn't mentally nor physically prepared for that. (You can feel bad for me)

I've been in bed before 12 every night this week. That in and of itself is saying something! I don't even know the last time that happened. Probably sophomore year of high school or something ha ha I have been exhausted this week.  But all I gotta say is bring it on!!!

Stoked for this 3 day weekend! Relaxation. and Anatomy. ha

We have a tradition already started that makes me so happy. Wednesday bowling night!! The bowling alley up the street is wonderful wednesday night or something like that ha. Shoes and a game of bowling for $2.70. Dats right. And our boys are funny. Very interesting victory dances we have. Or they do I should say. I will post pics after next weeks adventure. I am improving. I am still the worst. Ha averaging about an 85 .. Better than 40 I always say. 

I'm starting a new project. I found this while blog stalking. Project 365. I will take 1 picture EVERY day. No matter what it is. It will have some sort of significance to me/life/what i'm doing/etc.. I will try posting them all. Maybe not daily but we'll see. I will start today, but these are not my pics for the day since I took them on sunday.

Also I locked my keys in my car at the cemetery. Awkward. Thank heavens for Hide-A-Key.. and for searching under my car in a skirt. Awkward again. ha ha
