September in a second!

Park qualified for the boston marathon so we graced him with our presence and a huge awesome cookie.

I spent a grand total of $800 on car repairs/registration in the month of September... and while I was at the shop I couldn't help but laugh at this sign on one of the workers' computers.. You can't really see it but it says "no swearing the Lord is listening" -Good words of advice dude!
My anatomy professor showed up in a suit, started taking off layers and ended up in this skeleton outfit to help us study for our exam. He is so funny. I have him for 2 of my classes and he cracks me up.
My parents went to New York and brought me back these cool M&M's!
Savanah and I pulled out our mattresses and slept in the living room over the weekend!
I applied for graduation!!! April 2013 can't come soon enough!

Finally met Jimmer!!!
And Mase was more excited about meeting his wife, Whitney!

Time is just flying by! Can't believe it is already almost halfway through October! It is ridiculous! next thing you know, the brother is going to be turning in his mission papers!! CRAZY! Man I sure love General Conference time. The fall is my favorite time of year! I love the start of a new school year, football season, changing leaves, wearing warm clothes but not having to lug around a huge coat, and everything in between. I got to go home and be with my whole family for more than 5 hours. The last time that happened was on our family vacation in July!

I saw this quote on another blog today and really loved it!

"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude." - Joseph B Wirthlin

strange sally.

Sometimes with my job I have the privilege of dealing with some really weird people. I see my share of diversity that is for sure. All sorts of backgrounds, all sorts of problems. It is kind of cool really. All at the pharmacy for one reason or another. Birth control, anti-depressants, insulin, antibiotics, pain relievers, you name it. On occasion I will have to deal with a real piece of work. Someone that is really complicated and demands a lot of work, someone that cannot be satisfied no matter what you do, others stink really bad or are really sketchy. Well today at work I was working up front and helping in the drop-off line. I was helping a lady and I was entering her insurance information into the computer when I hear a man say in a singy voice to the tune of the song, "call me maybe". I looked up and kind of chuckled thinking it was a funny dad joking around with his daughter but then when I look up I find a 40 something year old homely looking man all by himself with his earphones in. haha then I really start laughing. It gets better. So I finish helping the lady, take care of the prescriptions and then the man walks up to the counter while saying "alright it is the strange mans turn. i'm the strange man, call me maybe."He gives me the prescriptions and asks me to fill them. They were for his wife. I start taking down his information and entering them into the system when he starts mumbling. I am trying SO SO hard not to laugh so I bite my lower lip. I am writing some things down and not talking while out of nowhere (maybe cause he saw my CTR ring?) he says, "I'm not LDS. I'm not. I'm not a mormon. I don't know if you care, but I'm not." I kind of laugh a little and say no, I dont care. I continue to tell him that they will be done in twenty minutes and he can pay when he picks them up. He then says, "where do i pick up because I don't know what I'm doing, I don't ever get sick or ever have a cough. I never come to the pharmacy. But I do have IBS. I probably told you too much." WHOA.... too much info dude. ha ha so awkward. I walk away to go fill the prescriptions and he stays at the counter and continues to sing the phrase "call me maybe". We laughed about it the rest of the day. It was so funny. I guess you really had to be there. Well bedtime for me.

GO COUGS!

Say it isn't so...

I am in straight denial. I refuse to face the fact that I am a senior in college. It just sounds way too disgusting. That means that 1- I am old. and 2- The real world is right around the corner. oh and 3- I'm going to be part of the 3% that graduate from BYU without being married. Awesome.  :)

When people ask what year I'm in I slightly cringe as I tell them that I am a senior and graduating soon. I feel as if they judge me. And plus, I truly love BYU. I don't want to leave. I could stay here forever and be just fine! On the other hand, you better believe I am counting down to graduation. I don't want to ever write a paper, take a test, register for classes, buy textbooks, group projects, research papers, or anything of the sort ever ever ever again.

This last year is gonna be a hectic one but I am finally into all of good classes that I enjoy! Too bad they are 400 level classes and make me want to cry just thinking about them! Why can't there be an option just to learn all this stuff but not take tests and not be graded on it?

Life is great though! I love my new apartment and my new roomies! I especially love living with Savanah! We do fun things like go to park city, the drive-in, and Wicked!

Cougar kick-off is in less than 24 hours! I am getting anxious already!! I'm so excited! And for any of you that recall my love for Tyler Haws (scroll down to the bottom) I will have you know that he is in my new ward. It is fate folks. Now if only I can muster up the courage to introduce myself...

Goodbye, Hello, Goodbye

Big things happened today, folks! I said GOODBYE to the Branbury. No more living in "rape-ville" any longer! It is so bitter sweet though. I lived there for 2 years and lived through so much of my college life during that time. Lots of roommates, friends, and challenges. It's weird to think about life before the bran. But believe me it was definitely time to move, change things up and start fresh.

Here are some things I WON'T miss about the bran:

  • my squeaky bed
  • the location of my bedroom (stairwell light, noisy loud door, and the living room)
  • the stupid drawer in my closet that would fall off the track EVERY time I opened it
  • the moldy bathroom (RIP betsy and her children)
  • hitting the pothole at the light on Riverside Ave
  • driving to school
  • my ward.
  • the gross heater vent in the hall that was always so dusty
  • having to pay for and carry my laundry
  • management
  • the overall ghetto-ness of the whole place
  • having nowhere to do homework except my bed
Things I WILL miss:
  • my big bed
  • Apt 312
  • Sharon
  • close drive to work
  • walking to football games

.... obviously the bad was outweighing the good. So, in turn I said HELLO to the Village at South Campus. It is brand new student housing and I'm the first person to occupy my bedroom!

Some things I already love:
  • Washer and dryer in the unit
  • Big flat screen TV and free cable
  • Underground, assigned parking
  • 5 minute walk to campus
  • Savanah being my roommate
  • all of my friends literally surrounding me on every direction within one block
  • Valet garbage take-out (NOW we are talking!)
  • way more social
It is my first night in my new bed (back in a twin) and I never thought this day would come. Although packing and unpacking and cleaning all day wore the crap out of me. I was so busy that the only thing I had to eat today was a large diet coke from Mcdonalds and I didn't even realize it till about 10 pm. And it also left me looking like I was mauled by a bear! I have bruises, scratches and scrapes all over my arms and legs and not to mention a huge blood blister on my hand.. But it is such a relief to have that done! I'm so excited for what the next couple months have in store!

And now I'm saying GOODBYE to you, and my new house as I leave for South Carolina for Sharon's wedding!! So excited! I heart airplanes! and weddings! :) I'm sure I'll have tons of pics to post next time!

P.S. After 28 months, I get to see Christopher on sunday after I get home! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. :)

singing angels

I am officially done with my ward and with my calling as the music committee co-chair.

do you hear that?

a choir of angels is singing HALLELUJAH.

If you can't tell... I'm just a little excited. No more choir practice, no more playing the piano, no more dealing with my oh so boring ward. Which also means I am a week away from moving out! I feel like i'm starting a whole new life and it is kind of awesome! I also am all done with summer school except for my two finals on wednesday and thursday! It will be so so so so so great to start my summer!! Too bad it is only two weeks long but whatever. This weekend was pretty fun except for doing homework and studying for finals, but I got to spend some time with Aubrey who came down and slept over! I got to skype with Christopher! Zach is finally home!! I went and saw Step Up 4 in 3D with my two best friends and it was pretty great!! Here are some pics.

I snuck this one while skyping. Hence the weird angle.
Last day with my only friends in the ward. Minus Jeff. After 2 years I sure will miss these boys!
Step up 3D with my girls! The main guy is HOTTT.

Here's to the next two weeks of finals, work, packing, moving, and South Carolina for the best friend's wedding!!!

P is for Pneumonia

Sometimes I feel like all I do on my blog is rant and complain about my life. But guess what? My life is awesome so I don't know why I complain so much! I live a crazy hectic life just like the rest of you. I have soooo many things in my life that make me happy that it isn't even funny. So just so you know that I'm a happy person... Here are some examples.

  • The fact that while cleaning out my room so that I could start packing I found a cd with a whole bunch of pictures on it that I had lost when my laptop was stolen. It brought back so many memories and I am so glad that I was able to find it so I could remember those little moments. (sorry for the overload of pictures)

  • I just went on a week long road trip with the family and it was awesome!

  • I'm going to WICKED!!

I could go on, I really could. Life is so great! No complaints here! Hope life is great for all of you!
