Who says BYU doesn't have fall break?

So sure I had to go to school every day this week, but believe me... I done did have myself a perfect weekend. My family was in Texas on vay-k and texting me and making me all jealous so i had to do something with myself.

It all started with Jaders. Haven't seen her forever. Maybe june or july. 

She LOVES J-DAWGS. Best hot dog i've ever had in my life.

I haven't been there since last year when I went with her. 

It was divine.

 Sharon thought it was so divine that she spilled 'special sauce' all over her pants....

 And of course Lukers was there. Stud.

Then I went up north. Logan bound. 

First I made a stop at Greggor's grave. 

There was nothing there (which after hearing there was a Ute flag

there earlier I was glad there wasn't ha ha) so I went and 

got some Gerber Daisies. of course. 

Then I made it up to Logan to be reunited with old friends.

I only got to see Linds and Emmers.

But it was so good to catch up and spend some time with them.

THEN... I came back to Provo.. sick mind you.

So sick feeling that I didn't go to the BYU game.

Now that is saying something. Luckily we won by 53 points.

I would have been bored anyways. 

But that night after nursing myself back to health 

I had a marvelous night.

 We're the best friends anyone could have. seriously. 

we are so funny. all you need is 3 words.

and while I was there I saw these peeps(again):

and then went up Provo Canyon and had a fire with

Sharon, Tony, Cason (scott), 

Holmquist (rigdon), Cornia (kj), and Kolten.

They are mission companions of Tony that is why

we call them by their last names. habit.

My weekend STILL isn't over. I had a fabulous time at church

today. Then I got to go spend some quality time with Parker, Alan,

and Javier. Then came home and studied hard for my chem test

that i'm going to beast tomorrow. bahahaha

and now i'm watching Tangled with

Sharon and Tony. A weekend doesn't get much better

than this. seriously. It was fabulous. But I still wish 

I could have been in Texas with my family.

Stupid school. But don't fret. I'm going home this weekend!!!

First time this semester i'm pretty sure. yeah its about time. 

SOOOO EXCITED!!

also... i told you i would keep you updated on my festivities.

'Tis the Season

I have nothing exciting to blog about. Sorry. My life is pretty lame as of late. Instead I will tell you what I will be doing before Halloween. It is a must in my book of fall.

1.

I have been to Corn Belly's every year that I have been down at school. And i'm not about to ruin my tradition. I will go by myself if I have to. Corn mazes are like my favorite thing about fall. Supposedly I'm supposed to have a date to it this year.. Well I'm not counting on it. So Corn Belly's get ready for me.

2.

I love carving pumpkins! It's something I really miss about home! I don't care how messy it is. I love sticking my arm in a nasty pumpkin and squishing all the guts. :)

AND Finally... 3. Making Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.  My all-time favorite cookies! LOVE THEM. and tis the season. 

That is all I have thought of so far. I will let you know my progress of these items soon. Also, my family is going to Texas this week without me! Why? cause melanie has school. BOOOO. So jealous. So maybe it's time to make a trip up to Logan? Or do ya'll have fall break this week. LET ME KNOW!

All is well here.
School is busy and yucky yet almost half way over. Glorious.

The weeks go by so fast for me. And to be honest.. I don't hate mondays. Probably cause I don't work. And I'm out of school at 1:00. And no homework due on tuesdays. PARTYYY.

Right now I am sitting in the fishbowl, yes we have a place on campus called the fishbowl, next to a guy that looks freakishly familiar. Don't know him though. I think he hates me cause I am saving a seat for a kid in my chem lab so he can't put his feet up on the chair. oops.

This weekend was grand. Another lucky round of good seats for a fabulous BYU homecoming game. Love my cougars. Also.. The BYU basketball team starts practicing this week. Am I excited? Thrilled.

Also, after months and months of unanswered prayers.... I got my answer today. Ecstatic.

Don't tell me...

it has been another week already. Where is the time going??!

I will love my life in approximately 12 hours. I have done so much this week it is weird to think about. And I really feel like yesterday was sunday.

Unfortunately it is the season of midterms. 3 tests in 20 hours? not ideal. But I just keep telling myself how great this weekend will be.

First of all BYU football game tomorrow! And the brother is coming with me. he's happy.

Then..........

IT'S CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited. I so badly need this spiritual uplift. I need some answers to my prayers and I'm hoping they will come this weekend. And .... I have the amazing privilege to attend sunday afternoon and listen to the Prophet. With none other than my best friend and her boy. 2 of my favorite people to be with. I'm not the 3rd wheel.. I'm the child. hahaha

Also speaking of this girl. She turns old on sunday. Yep. Big ol 21!! I don't know how I feel about it. I feel like i'm gaining a lot of responsibility to keep her out of trouble since she will be a legit adult now. I might have to lock her in her bedroom just to be safe... muahaha LOVE YOU.

Despite how busy and stressed I have been lately. I think this is the happiest I have ever been. I've laughed and smiled more in the past few weeks than I think I ever have before. It's a nice feeling. Maybe it's cause I got 100% on my anatomy quiz today :) or because I'm starting to recognize the people that really care about me... Sure there are things still weighing me down and always in the back of my mind. I haven't had time to fully grieve. But i'm working on it. I think I'm learning how to control those emotions a little better. I found this. And was happy.

I hope you all enjoy conference. I just found out that Elder Holland is only speaking in the Priesthood session... WHAT THE HECK?! how is that even fair? He is my favorite speaker! Well I guess i'm either dressing up like a man and going to watch in on saturday or i will be watching it sunday :)

Fast Forward

My life is moving at the speed of light. I wish it would slow down! Weeks are turning into days! I honestly can't believe it is the weekend again already. I'm so busy that I don't have time to do anything it feels like. Not even breathe. I've been working on getting a good balance of life. Between school and work and church and my calling and homework and everything else, it is hard to do. But i've managed to squeeze in some fun events. Like hiking the Y the other night. In the pitch blackness. And going to the football game! And thats about it! I even had to give up weekly bowling night to do homework this week. sad. this girl has her priorities straight though! And it is starting to kill me.

One funny story for the week though. So for my calling (Music co-chair) I'm in charge of all of the music for sacrament meeting, and the choir. My new favorite word is delegation. :) Anyways, I had to make an announcement during sunday school about choir and musical numbers, etc. Well i went to talk to the sunday school pres. Bryce and asked him if I could take 2 minutes before his lesson for my announcement.

Pause. So our church is in the BYU chemistry building. Our speakers stand up at the big desk/table thing at the front of the room and we are in stadium seating. Our sacrament is blessed where chemicals are mixed ha. So our room has a sink with some nozzles and sprayer things like all chemistry rooms have.

Ok back to the story. So Bryce was kind of being a booger and said I could only have 10 seconds. So JOKINGLY I pulled out the nozzle and squeezed the trigger to ACT like I was going to spray him. Well.. just in case you were wondering, those sinks and nozzles really work. I soaked the kid. His poor white shirt and tie... The even worse part though is that the water wouldn't stop when I let go of the nozzle. I was holding it down in the sink and it was going crazy spraying everywhere. Well you know me... I was dying. I could not stop laughing. Another guy had to go under the sink and move some wires and stuff around.  OOPS. haha learned my lesson.

Well I have to play a musical number in ward conference tomorrow. gag me. and I have a load of homework and a disaster of a bedroom.
