P is for Pneumonia

Sometimes I feel like all I do on my blog is rant and complain about my life. But guess what? My life is awesome so I don't know why I complain so much! I live a crazy hectic life just like the rest of you. I have soooo many things in my life that make me happy that it isn't even funny. So just so you know that I'm a happy person... Here are some examples.

  • The fact that while cleaning out my room so that I could start packing I found a cd with a whole bunch of pictures on it that I had lost when my laptop was stolen. It brought back so many memories and I am so glad that I was able to find it so I could remember those little moments. (sorry for the overload of pictures)

  • My job. Ok not necessarily my job, but the people I work with. They are prime. And I lava them. They are some of my best friends and I actually look forward to going to work. Good thing or else this summer would have been brutal.
  • I just went on a week long road trip with the family and it was awesome!
  • I only have 2 more weeks in my ward.  Thank Heavens.
  • I love new music! The new maroon 5 album and 'whistle' by Flo Rida are on repeat 24/7
  • I will be in South Carolina for Sharon's wedding in 2 weeks and 2 days!
  • I will see my two best friends for the first time in 28 months in just 3 short weeks!
  • It's my senior year! Unfortunately I'm plagued with senioritis already
  • I finish summer school in about 10 days! Then my two week summer starts!
  • My final dr. apt for my leggy is coming up!!
  • I'm going to WICKED!!
  • I get to move in with Savanah!
  • I'm going to be a 2 minute bike ride away from school instead of a 10 minute drive!
  • And surrounded by friends on every side of my new apartment!
  • I had $300 stolen from my bank account while on vacation and my bank refunded me every last cent!
I could go on, I really could. Life is so great! No complaints here! Hope life is great for all of you!

One More Night

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ One of my favorite songs from Maroon 5 's new album. SUCH a good album. Give it a listen. You'll heart it. Also those words are what I will be saying all day tomorrow. One more night till my vacation!! Just 10 more hours of work and then 10 days OFF!! woot woot! So my needless to say my life has been a little hectic and out of control lately.... But it will all pay off soon. I'm so excited for summer school to be over it is even funny.  Here's a few of my happening as of late:

So here is the list of homework that I had to finish before my vacation.
You better believe everything on that dang paper is crossed off except for a physics test that I have to take tuesday.... SO RELIEVED!!

Say hello to my new shoesies.  :)

OH and say hello to Vanners while you are at it!

At work I was recognized for being the Guest Service MVP out of everyone in the whole store! I was feeling pretty special. There will overall be 8 of us chosen in different categories. I was the only one out of the pharmacy chosen so that was pretty cool. They gave me a nice little gift basket and a nice thank you note from all of the executives. It is nice when your hard work is noticed!

Here is Savanah and I at the Stadium of Fire!
Good 'ol Scotty Mccreery(what a babe!) and the Beach Boys! Who knew 70 year old men could be so entertaining!!
And of course the classic firework shot. I love me some fireworks!! 3rd year in a row watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks! Love em mucho!

This blurriness we are blaming on the fire that we were sitting around... That is my only guess. It is such a freaking small world. So here is the story. Jenica(the one on the top left) is Savanah's sister. She is my age. And is dating a boy that is best friends with two boys from my Freshman ward that I was good friends with. Collin and Logan were my FHE bros. So we all got together and had a fire! It was funnnn except for smelling like fire after. Worst part about a fire always.

Also I can't leave you without sharing a quite hilarious story that will hopefully put a smile on your face. Yesterday at work I was helping a guest. I went to look for her prescription. Walking/shuffling sideways I was trying to find the right bin associated with her last name. My quad gave out (very normal thing since surgery) and I tripped over my other leg and went flying to the ground face first. I laid there laughing while everyone in line just stared at me like it wasn't funny. It was really awkward. Hahaha dang that leg.

Well I will be incognito for the next week at least as I will be on va-kay to Yosemite National Park and the Redwoods. But I will grace you with my presence upon my return with lots of pictures I'm sure.

***Can you believe one week from tomorrow it will have been one year since this. I can't.

I live in a box.

That statement is how I have summed up my summer. My days consist of
school: in a classroom (15x15?)
work: in a maybe 15x10 cubby hole
bedroom: 10x10 square

I literally live in a box. every dang day. But that's fine. My weeks just keep zooming by. I wish it would slow down a little bit... but then I'm so so so ready for August 14th to get here that I don't even care. August 14th I move out. New apartment, new roommates, new ward, new location, NEW LIFE. I cannot wait. I think about it everyday and get so excited. 6 1/2 weeks left. and two of those weeks I will be vacationing. I spend more time away at school and work than I spend in my apartment. Summer is beginning to wear on me. But I'm told this is life as an adult.

Some good news is:

Two of my really good friends from freshman year got home from their missions this week! Christopher is HOME!! It was soo good to talk to him and catch up! And cute little Logan just got home yesterday and I get to go to his homecoming next sunday! I can't believe two years went by so fast.

Last night I went to dinner and shopping with Melissa. We also saw the movie People Like Us. It was really good, I recommend it! The ending is nothing you expect!

Savanah was camping with her family all weekend so I was super bored but I felt super productive today! I worked from 9-1:30 and then tried to get as many things done as possible since it was my first free time of the week. I went at got me a gym membership. We just got a brand new Planet Fitness right across the street from work so it is the perfect location and it is no contract $10 a month open 24 hours.. Exactly what I need. I then went to campus and unintentionally spent some money on the new football game day shirts. They are so cute! I wanted to get emotional since it was the last BYU football shirt I will by haha. I then finished all of my physics homework that is due next week, wrote all of my lab write-ups for the rest of the semester, did a lot of my reading for living prophets, picked out songs to play and practiced for sacrament tomorrow. Plus... I vacuumed and scrubbed and washed my car and filled it up with gas. My mom would have been so proud. So I'm feeling awesome!! and absolutely exhausted.

My next purchase will be earplugs. And I am 100% serious. That way I don't have to hear the dang tv, my roommates, the squeaky door that wakes me up anytime someone opens it or freaking fireworks. I'm sorry that I have to be a fun hater, people. But if you were working full time and going to school full time so would you!! I need my sleep!

But on the bright side! Only 2 weeks of absolute torture until my family vacation! I'm soooo ready! Peace out folks!

It's friday, friday, gotta get down on friday

Like I always say.... TIME IS FLYING!!

I cannot believe that it is almost July. Seriously, being super busy during the summer sure makes it cruise. But I don't mind. I am so looking forward to the end of August. I have so many changes taking place in my life and it is going to be so great. I can't even wait!

So like I said, my summer has been busy. Super busy! Here is just a brief glimpse into my life next week....

Monday: Work 10-8
Tuesday: Class from 9-11, 12-3, 5-7:30
Wednesday: Work 10-8
Thursday: Class again from 9-7:30
Friday: Work 9-4
Saturday: Work 9-1:30.
Whoa. I'm overwhelmed. No free days for me. But it's ok. I don't mind it. I work with my two very best friends so I actually enjoy being at work most of the time and for the most part I enjoy my classes. Today I had to work from 8-7. wow it was a long day. And then after I went with Melissa to Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Days. It was like the cutest little carnival. I really wish we had something like it back home. Founder's Day doesn't even compare.

Apparently nobody else goes to summer school...
Campus is soooo green and pretty!
Sun through the ride at the carnival

 Our favorite ride!

Melissa and I eating strawberries and cream. Yum.

Praise the Heavens... i don't have to work tomorrow! So great. That means homework catch-up. And I'm going to the Orem Owlz game with Savanah! And they are playing the Raptors!! Shoot I don't know who I am going to cheer for... But I think if I want to keep Savanah I better root for the Owlz.. Sorry Jade! ha ha

Lots has been happening! Finished spring term classes and started summer term, passed my two year mark at Target. I can't believe it has been that long!! I'm so old. And now the countdown is on for my family trip! 23 days!!

Month gone by

Well. It has been a month since my last blog. I guess i've been a little busy. And then when I remember that I need to blog it is bedtime and i'm too tired. But now i'm watching Baby Mama so I think I can spare some time. It has only been a month, but I feel like a lot has happened. Even though my life isn't really exciting... All i do is go to school, study physics, and work. Here are some pictures::

I always wear my name tag upside down on accident
Having class in SLC twice a week I've been able to venture around and find some fun places
And I think the capital is beautiful
I attempted to make a brownie cheesecake and it didn't kill anyone
I've been home quite a bit lately
My best friend from work, Melissa, got married!
These are my two best friends. Melissa and Savanah (my new soon to be roommate). I play with them everyday! And the best days are when we all work at the same time! Work doesn't get better than that!
 Made faces with my sis
Got a flat tire on the freeway
Went to the He Is We concert with Linds. Survived all of the awful opening bands...barely.
Finally finished book 5 of HP. Now on to book 6. Gotta finish before the end of summer! It's on my bucketlist. **funny story. I was sitting in relief society and we have class in a chemistry classroom. There was a big poster on the wall for an iclicker frequency code and it was DA. All i could think about the whole rest of class was Dumbledore's Army. ha ha

Bought tickets to see Wicked in SLC!! Can't wait!
Getting my moneys worth of my Pass of all Passes!

Also something I don't have a picture of but is pretty freaking important... I registered for the PCAT. The MCAT, but for Pharmacy school.  September 18th! This is a pretty big deal cause I'm not 100% sure that pharmacy school is in my plans but this is a start. We'll see what happens. Wish me luck! Also i'm halfway through summer school! I have finals next week and then summer term starts the next week. Andd I booked a flight to South Carolina for Sharon's wedding! Let's just say that between Wicked, a plane ticket to South Carolina, fixing burned out tail lights in my car, and registering for the PCAT and buying books to study with, my bank account is being depleted. Good thing for work. Well i'll try to be better at blogging.  Peace out homies.

Summatime?

Hi.
Is it summer?
I wouldn't know.
I'm still going to school.
And working 30 hours a week.
Why did I do this to myself?

345 days till graduation.
That's why.
And yes I do have a countdown.
Judge me.

I'm also counting down till I move into my new apartment.
No more mold and grungy nastiness in the tub or toilet.
No more sleeping by the stairwell and wanting to PUNCH people every night.
No more light in my room from the stupid light outside my window.
No more noise from the family room being literally separated from my bedroom by .0025 cm.

Andddd finally one more countdown.
Zach and Chris will be back in Provo by August 25th.

ohhhh and my best friend is getting married in August too!
NBD.

Sheesh I just need to make myself a whole bunch of countdowns to hang around my room and then everything will just be splendid.

The last few weeks of my life haven't been very eventful. Just busy. I've been able to go home a lot over the past few weeks but now I'm working weekends again so it looks like i'm stuck in provo for awhile now. Well here are a few pictures to catch up..

I love my home. It's so pretty. It's such a nice retreat from my crazy busy provo. If nothing else, Provo has taught me that I'm a country girl. Provo is way too much for me. And yes I do consider Provo a big city. And yes I did stop in the middle of the road to take this picture.

Stoked for this concert with Brinz!! I am seriously obsessed with He Is We. I'm okay if this becomes a tradition. Hopefully this year I won't feel like ripping my hair out before they even play because of the awful opening bands and 15 year old bratty girls.

Went and walked around City Creek for the first time. I was overwhelmed. Ha way too much for me. I knew I wasn't a shopper. I don't know why I wanted to go so badly ha but it is definitely pretty!

There was a Weber Alumni Basketball tournament for a scholarship that they are starting in Greg's name. It was fun to be able to go and support and also watch my brother play in it. It was good to talk to Greg's parents and buy this shirt. And I made it out without any tears! I really can't believe it has almost been a year. I was really sad I missed the last night where his little sister danced to "If I Die Young". I decided to go on a blind date instead. The first counselor in my stake presidency set me up. So I trusted him. BAD IDEA. Guys it was bad. He was a nice guy, but to put things nicely..... not what I'm looking for. And the whole date lasted 50 minutes. Still laughing about it.

Don't you love this picture of the Ogden Valley?! My neighbor Jake Nelson took it! You should look at all of his photography. I don't know if he has a website, but here you can find his facebook page which is where I stole this from. He is so talented and I love the way he portrays my hometown. I'll probably buy some of his stuff and hang it in my future home.

So one of my classes this semester is at the BYU SLC center. It's been fun to have a switch up and great parking and small classes and all. And not to mention a cute boy named Larry. Whose last name may or may not be Miller. Don't worry I already asked if he was related/named after the former Jazz owner and unfortunately, no. But I sure love seeing temple square every tuesday and thursday. Such a pretty place!

Last week I was able to go home and go to Carly Barker's wedding. It was so fun seeing her and Josh married and seeing so many old, familiar faces. And then I went over to Parker's condo and hung out with my best guys. Josh, Marques, Todd, Park, Christian and Spencer. I love those boys. They are all so good to me. It's good to spend time with them when I can. Sure miss them!

Also... Our pharmacy remodel is DONE. wow it is so nice. It is HUGE! and clean and just so much better and more convenient. So glad that is all over. And in 19 days I'm saying hello to year 3! Whoa! Time has definitely flown. So grateful for my job! I have truly been blessed with the best boss, best coworkers, and great pay. I couldn't ask for more!

I have to work tomorrow (or today). I've missed the past 3 weeks in my singles ward now. Oooops. haha I'm waiting for my bishopbric to come visit. Or ask me to speak.
Well I will try to be better at my blogging. I have been a slacker.
Until next time.
