Say it isn't so...

I am in straight denial. I refuse to face the fact that I am a senior in college. It just sounds way too disgusting. That means that 1- I am old. and 2- The real world is right around the corner. oh and 3- I'm going to be part of the 3% that graduate from BYU without being married. Awesome.  :)

When people ask what year I'm in I slightly cringe as I tell them that I am a senior and graduating soon. I feel as if they judge me. And plus, I truly love BYU. I don't want to leave. I could stay here forever and be just fine! On the other hand, you better believe I am counting down to graduation. I don't want to ever write a paper, take a test, register for classes, buy textbooks, group projects, research papers, or anything of the sort ever ever ever again.

This last year is gonna be a hectic one but I am finally into all of good classes that I enjoy! Too bad they are 400 level classes and make me want to cry just thinking about them! Why can't there be an option just to learn all this stuff but not take tests and not be graded on it?

Life is great though! I love my new apartment and my new roomies! I especially love living with Savanah! We do fun things like go to park city, the drive-in, and Wicked!

Cougar kick-off is in less than 24 hours! I am getting anxious already!! I'm so excited! And for any of you that recall my love for Tyler Haws (scroll down to the bottom) I will have you know that he is in my new ward. It is fate folks. Now if only I can muster up the courage to introduce myself...

Goodbye, Hello, Goodbye

Big things happened today, folks! I said GOODBYE to the Branbury. No more living in "rape-ville" any longer! It is so bitter sweet though. I lived there for 2 years and lived through so much of my college life during that time. Lots of roommates, friends, and challenges. It's weird to think about life before the bran. But believe me it was definitely time to move, change things up and start fresh.

Here are some things I WON'T miss about the bran:

  • my squeaky bed
  • the location of my bedroom (stairwell light, noisy loud door, and the living room)
  • the stupid drawer in my closet that would fall off the track EVERY time I opened it
  • the moldy bathroom (RIP betsy and her children)
  • hitting the pothole at the light on Riverside Ave
  • driving to school
  • my ward.
  • the gross heater vent in the hall that was always so dusty
  • having to pay for and carry my laundry
  • management
  • the overall ghetto-ness of the whole place
  • having nowhere to do homework except my bed
Things I WILL miss:
  • my big bed
  • Apt 312
  • Sharon
  • close drive to work
  • walking to football games

.... obviously the bad was outweighing the good. So, in turn I said HELLO to the Village at South Campus. It is brand new student housing and I'm the first person to occupy my bedroom!

Some things I already love:
  • Washer and dryer in the unit
  • Big flat screen TV and free cable
  • Underground, assigned parking
  • 5 minute walk to campus
  • Savanah being my roommate
  • all of my friends literally surrounding me on every direction within one block
  • Valet garbage take-out (NOW we are talking!)
  • way more social
It is my first night in my new bed (back in a twin) and I never thought this day would come. Although packing and unpacking and cleaning all day wore the crap out of me. I was so busy that the only thing I had to eat today was a large diet coke from Mcdonalds and I didn't even realize it till about 10 pm. And it also left me looking like I was mauled by a bear! I have bruises, scratches and scrapes all over my arms and legs and not to mention a huge blood blister on my hand.. But it is such a relief to have that done! I'm so excited for what the next couple months have in store!

And now I'm saying GOODBYE to you, and my new house as I leave for South Carolina for Sharon's wedding!! So excited! I heart airplanes! and weddings! :) I'm sure I'll have tons of pics to post next time!

P.S. After 28 months, I get to see Christopher on sunday after I get home! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. :)

singing angels

I am officially done with my ward and with my calling as the music committee co-chair.

do you hear that?

a choir of angels is singing HALLELUJAH.

If you can't tell... I'm just a little excited. No more choir practice, no more playing the piano, no more dealing with my oh so boring ward. Which also means I am a week away from moving out! I feel like i'm starting a whole new life and it is kind of awesome! I also am all done with summer school except for my two finals on wednesday and thursday! It will be so so so so so great to start my summer!! Too bad it is only two weeks long but whatever. This weekend was pretty fun except for doing homework and studying for finals, but I got to spend some time with Aubrey who came down and slept over! I got to skype with Christopher! Zach is finally home!! I went and saw Step Up 4 in 3D with my two best friends and it was pretty great!! Here are some pics.

I snuck this one while skyping. Hence the weird angle.
Last day with my only friends in the ward. Minus Jeff. After 2 years I sure will miss these boys!
Step up 3D with my girls! The main guy is HOTTT.

Here's to the next two weeks of finals, work, packing, moving, and South Carolina for the best friend's wedding!!!

P is for Pneumonia

Sometimes I feel like all I do on my blog is rant and complain about my life. But guess what? My life is awesome so I don't know why I complain so much! I live a crazy hectic life just like the rest of you. I have soooo many things in my life that make me happy that it isn't even funny. So just so you know that I'm a happy person... Here are some examples.

  • The fact that while cleaning out my room so that I could start packing I found a cd with a whole bunch of pictures on it that I had lost when my laptop was stolen. It brought back so many memories and I am so glad that I was able to find it so I could remember those little moments. (sorry for the overload of pictures)

  • My job. Ok not necessarily my job, but the people I work with. They are prime. And I lava them. They are some of my best friends and I actually look forward to going to work. Good thing or else this summer would have been brutal.
  • I just went on a week long road trip with the family and it was awesome!
  • I only have 2 more weeks in my ward.  Thank Heavens.
  • I love new music! The new maroon 5 album and 'whistle' by Flo Rida are on repeat 24/7
  • I will be in South Carolina for Sharon's wedding in 2 weeks and 2 days!
  • I will see my two best friends for the first time in 28 months in just 3 short weeks!
  • It's my senior year! Unfortunately I'm plagued with senioritis already
  • I finish summer school in about 10 days! Then my two week summer starts!
  • My final dr. apt for my leggy is coming up!!
  • I'm going to WICKED!!
  • I get to move in with Savanah!

I could go on, I really could. Life is so great! No complaints here! Hope life is great for all of you!

One More Night

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ One of my favorite songs from Maroon 5 's new album. SUCH a good album. Give it a listen. You'll heart it. Also those words are what I will be saying all day tomorrow. One more night till my vacation!! Just 10 more hours of work and then 10 days OFF!! woot woot! So my needless to say my life has been a little hectic and out of control lately.... But it will all pay off soon. I'm so excited for summer school to be over it is even funny.  Here's a few of my happening as of late:

So here is the list of homework that I had to finish before my vacation.
You better believe everything on that dang paper is crossed off except for a physics test that I have to take tuesday.... SO RELIEVED!!

Say hello to my new shoesies.  :)

OH and say hello to Vanners while you are at it!

At work I was recognized for being the Guest Service MVP out of everyone in the whole store! I was feeling pretty special. There will overall be 8 of us chosen in different categories. I was the only one out of the pharmacy chosen so that was pretty cool. They gave me a nice little gift basket and a nice thank you note from all of the executives. It is nice when your hard work is noticed!

Here is Savanah and I at the Stadium of Fire!
Good 'ol Scotty Mccreery(what a babe!) and the Beach Boys! Who knew 70 year old men could be so entertaining!!
And of course the classic firework shot. I love me some fireworks!! 3rd year in a row watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks! Love em mucho!

This blurriness we are blaming on the fire that we were sitting around... That is my only guess. It is such a freaking small world. So here is the story. Jenica(the one on the top left) is Savanah's sister. She is my age. And is dating a boy that is best friends with two boys from my Freshman ward that I was good friends with. Collin and Logan were my FHE bros. So we all got together and had a fire! It was funnnn except for smelling like fire after. Worst part about a fire always.

Also I can't leave you without sharing a quite hilarious story that will hopefully put a smile on your face. Yesterday at work I was helping a guest. I went to look for her prescription. Walking/shuffling sideways I was trying to find the right bin associated with her last name. My quad gave out (very normal thing since surgery) and I tripped over my other leg and went flying to the ground face first. I laid there laughing while everyone in line just stared at me like it wasn't funny. It was really awkward. Hahaha dang that leg.

Well I will be incognito for the next week at least as I will be on va-kay to Yosemite National Park and the Redwoods. But I will grace you with my presence upon my return with lots of pictures I'm sure.

***Can you believe one week from tomorrow it will have been one year since this. I can't.

I live in a box.

That statement is how I have summed up my summer. My days consist of
school: in a classroom (15x15?)
work: in a maybe 15x10 cubby hole
bedroom: 10x10 square

I literally live in a box. every dang day. But that's fine. My weeks just keep zooming by. I wish it would slow down a little bit... but then I'm so so so ready for August 14th to get here that I don't even care. August 14th I move out. New apartment, new roommates, new ward, new location, NEW LIFE. I cannot wait. I think about it everyday and get so excited. 6 1/2 weeks left. and two of those weeks I will be vacationing. I spend more time away at school and work than I spend in my apartment. Summer is beginning to wear on me. But I'm told this is life as an adult.

Some good news is:

Two of my really good friends from freshman year got home from their missions this week! Christopher is HOME!! It was soo good to talk to him and catch up! And cute little Logan just got home yesterday and I get to go to his homecoming next sunday! I can't believe two years went by so fast.

Last night I went to dinner and shopping with Melissa. We also saw the movie People Like Us. It was really good, I recommend it! The ending is nothing you expect!

Savanah was camping with her family all weekend so I was super bored but I felt super productive today! I worked from 9-1:30 and then tried to get as many things done as possible since it was my first free time of the week. I went at got me a gym membership. We just got a brand new Planet Fitness right across the street from work so it is the perfect location and it is no contract $10 a month open 24 hours.. Exactly what I need. I then went to campus and unintentionally spent some money on the new football game day shirts. They are so cute! I wanted to get emotional since it was the last BYU football shirt I will by haha. I then finished all of my physics homework that is due next week, wrote all of my lab write-ups for the rest of the semester, did a lot of my reading for living prophets, picked out songs to play and practiced for sacrament tomorrow. Plus... I vacuumed and scrubbed and washed my car and filled it up with gas. My mom would have been so proud. So I'm feeling awesome!! and absolutely exhausted.

My next purchase will be earplugs. And I am 100% serious. That way I don't have to hear the dang tv, my roommates, the squeaky door that wakes me up anytime someone opens it or freaking fireworks. I'm sorry that I have to be a fun hater, people. But if you were working full time and going to school full time so would you!! I need my sleep!

But on the bright side! Only 2 weeks of absolute torture until my family vacation! I'm soooo ready! Peace out folks!

It's friday, friday, gotta get down on friday

Like I always say.... TIME IS FLYING!!

I cannot believe that it is almost July. Seriously, being super busy during the summer sure makes it cruise. But I don't mind. I am so looking forward to the end of August. I have so many changes taking place in my life and it is going to be so great. I can't even wait!

So like I said, my summer has been busy. Super busy! Here is just a brief glimpse into my life next week....

Monday: Work 10-8
Tuesday: Class from 9-11, 12-3, 5-7:30
Wednesday: Work 10-8
Thursday: Class again from 9-7:30
Friday: Work 9-4
Saturday: Work 9-1:30.
Whoa. I'm overwhelmed. No free days for me. But it's ok. I don't mind it. I work with my two very best friends so I actually enjoy being at work most of the time and for the most part I enjoy my classes. Today I had to work from 8-7. wow it was a long day. And then after I went with Melissa to Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Days. It was like the cutest little carnival. I really wish we had something like it back home. Founder's Day doesn't even compare.

Apparently nobody else goes to summer school...
Campus is soooo green and pretty!
Sun through the ride at the carnival

 Our favorite ride!

Melissa and I eating strawberries and cream. Yum.

Praise the Heavens... i don't have to work tomorrow! So great. That means homework catch-up. And I'm going to the Orem Owlz game with Savanah! And they are playing the Raptors!! Shoot I don't know who I am going to cheer for... But I think if I want to keep Savanah I better root for the Owlz.. Sorry Jade! ha ha

Lots has been happening! Finished spring term classes and started summer term, passed my two year mark at Target. I can't believe it has been that long!! I'm so old. And now the countdown is on for my family trip! 23 days!!
